Update 17 September 2022

After burnout at work from a crazy July, I was looking forward to having my two week vacation. The Thursday before it was due to start, a roof fire in my building forced me to be evacuated for a week.

The cats and I were bugged out at a local pet friendly hotel.

While I was feeling like I was wasting precious time, but staying in the hotel forced me to rest.

I was also blessed with a somewhat smoky but mostly intact home.  The condo across the hallway from me was gutted.

I’m back home now and starting the arduous process of resetting my home.

By 11 am this morning, I had already dumped 4 bags of trash into the trash receptacle.

Prior to all of this, I had ordered some items on Amazon and one of those items that came in during the bug out was a mental health calendar.

I’m feeling the motivation for a slow clean with the beautiful drawings for the calendar.

The Inspiration For This Blog

I was driving to the Mesa Arizona Temple for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and thinking of a poem I could write to indicate what has happened to me physically, spiritually and emotionally.  The result was this poem: Sister Humpty Dumpty struggled with her call, Sister Humpty Dumpty had a great fall! The King on His throne and Heavenly angels too, Are creating a new Sister Humpty Dumpty with temple work to do!

Ground Zero

Yes, my home looks like a disaster area. It will also look better.  Little by little.

Disaster Home Update 1

After no dishes for three weeks, I’m finally getting my first load done. I also took the kitchen trash out and swept up the kitchen floor. Oh, and I wiped down the countertop from the refrigerator to the stove with Clorox wipes. Not much, but a little by little bit.
